Do you know what VET means?

Vocational education and training - or VET for short – is hands-on learning that leads to a qualification you can use anywhere in Australia.

You can start VET while you're still at school, combine it with SACE, or go full-time after year 12.

Careers that start with VET include training on the job and going to Tech Colleges.

VET includes apprenticeships and traineeships. These are great options if you’re interested in jobs like… being a carpenter, mechanic, baker … or doing office admin, being a hairdresser, working in health care, working with animals, or in office. Talk to your school’s VET coordinator or see Career Pathways.

There are hundreds of possible careers through VET.

These industry titles, categories, and sub industries are all named by the Industry Skills Councils SA. There are many other industry or career pathways not shown here.
